Description

The Planning Solicitor position will hold the following responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice on planning and development matters, including Section 106 agreements.
  • Draft, negotiate, and review legal documents related to planning law.
  • Represent the organisation in planning appeals and inquiries.
  • Assist in preparing reports and presenting legal advice to committees.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies in all planning matters.
  • Handle planning enforcement cases and provide legal representation when required.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to deliver effective legal solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely completion of tasks.

Profile

A successful Planning Solicitor should have:

  • A professional qualification as a solicitor or barrister with the right to practise in England and Wales.
  • Specialised knowledge of planning and development law.
  • Experience in drafting and negotiating legal agreements, particularly Section 106 agreements.
  • Excellent communication skills to advise and collaborate effectively.

Job Offer

This is a Temporary position for 10 months to cover maternity leave.
