Planning Solicitor | Cambridge | 1+ PQE

This Top UK firm is seeking a Planning Solicitor to join its expanding Planning & Environmental team in Cambridge. With the team growing across all offices, this is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of high-quality matters within a nationally recognised practice, while enjoying excellent support and a clear path for progression.

The Role

You'll be part of a highly regarded Planning & Environmental team, recognised in both Chambers and Legal 500 as a Top Tier practice. The work is varied, high-profile and often complex, including:

  • Advising on strategic land and major infrastructure planning
  • Development plan promotion and examinations
  • Planning applications, appeals and enforcement
  • Section 106 and infrastructure agreements
  • Compulsory purchase and Development Consent Orders
  • Environmental matters, including EIAs and habitats compliance

The firm is keen to grow this area further and you\'ll play an active role in building client relationships and contributing to the practice\'s ongoing success.

About You
  • Qualified Solicitor, ideally 1+ PQE in planning or related areas (environmental, highways, CPO)
  • Strong drafting and analytical skills with a keen interest in planning and environmental law
  • Commercially aware with excellent client care skills
  • A collaborative team player, but also confident in handling your own matters with appropriate support
  • Ambitious, with the drive to contribute to the team\'s growth and your own development
