Job Opportunity: Planning Radiographer/Dosimetrist in Radiotherapy

Are you looking to start your career in Radiotherapy Treatment Planning? We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join the Treatment Planning team at Kent Oncology Centre, one of the largest radiotherapy departments in England.

About Us

Our department operates nine Varian linear accelerators across two sites, each equipped with dedicated CT scanners. We utilize Eclipse for treatment planning and ARIA networked across sites, with routine use of RapidArc VMAT, IGRT, vDIBH, and SABR Lung. We also provide brachytherapy services and participate in clinical trials.

Role Highlights

1. Participate in all aspects of the Treatment Planning section, including mould room tasks, immobilisation and shielding device fabrication, CT work, organ-at-risk contouring, and treatment plan production.
2. Training in mould room procedures, CT, and planning will be provided if you have minimal or no experience.
3. Contribute to the expansion of SABR and development of new techniques such as Breast SIB, with upcoming installation of a new Philips big bore CT scanner.
