Job summary

Edwards & Pearce Ltd. is partnering with a growing food manufacturer to recruit an experienced production and materials planner.

You will develop and optimise planning processes, align stock with demand and drive efficiency across manufacturing. From day one you will manage materials allocation, monitor performance against output and cost KPIs, and collaborate with sales and production to steer planning meetings and supplier relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience in demand or production planning, within a food manufacturing business.
• Hands on, and adaptable approach to role.
• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
• Strong commercial acumen.
• Motivated, with a passion for food.

Responsibilities

• Developing effective and efficient plans and optimising the use of equipment and resources.
• Allocation of materials, ensuring that stock levels are optimised in line with demand.
• Responsibility for planning factory output, monitoring and reporting on performance against output and cost KPI's.
• Managing internal relationships, liaising with the sales and production functions, and leading planning meetings.
• Placing purchase orders on suppliers and managing ingredient stock.
• Development of improved approaches and processes around planning and the supply chain.
• Input into new product development and range introduction projects.

Edwards & Pearce are working with a growing food manufacturing business to recruit an experienced production and materials planner to manage and develop their planning and stock processes and launch into their next growth phase.

You will be responsible for managing the production and materials planning for the business. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow with the business into a wider operational role, initially developing planning, and later taking on wider purchasing cost and supplier performance responsibility.
