Overview

A client within the Public Sector based in Leicestershire is currently recruiting for a Planning Policy Officer to join their Planning Policy and Land Charges team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a planning environment.

Responsibilities
  • Responding to Regulation 18 consultation responses
  • Liaising with partners and stakeholders in respect of the evidence base to support the Regulation 19 Local Plan
  • Commissioning and managing studies in accordance with the Council\'s procurement procedures
  • Producing reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Drafting the Regulation 19 Local Plan and supporting documentation
Candidate

Qualifications and experience

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Town Planning or related subject
  • Membership (or eligibility for membership) of the RTPI
  • Previous local authority planning policy experience
Skills and attributes
  • Strong report writing and communication skills
  • Proficiency with GIS, spreadsheets, and data analysis tools
  • Ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships
Benefits and remuneration

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering up to £30 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £25 per hour PAYE).
