Job description

This job is brought to you by Jobs/Redefined, the UK's leading over-50s age inclusive jobs board.

How you'll help us live our purpose

We've been helping our members save for their future and buy their own home since 1875. Join us and you'll play a big role in helping us to put home ownership within reach of more people, generation after generation.

It's a purpose that drives everything we do. And you can play your part too - join our Operational Planning & Optimisation team as a Planning & Optimisation Manager and play a vital part in supporting colleagues and our members by ensuring we meet broker & customer demand across the Society's customer division.

This role can be based at either our Head Office in Leeds or our Cobalt Office near Newcastle.

How you'll make a difference

You'll produce weekly and monthly resource models and analyse historical trends to effectively manage resource schedules and ensure sufficient resources are in place with the right skills, at the right time.

Your exceptional leadership capabilities will inspire and empower as you lead your team. We're proud of our inclusive culture and you'll preserve and elevate this; inspiring people through authentic role modelling of our behaviours, while deliberately and consistently driving high performance as you coach and nurture talent.

You'll also have the opportunity to support the resource planning for exciting transformational projects. Acting as a partner to our customer division you'll have exposure to senior stakeholders and you'll need to be able to manage their demands and viewpoints by utilising the data gathered effectively to build consensus and enable balanced purposeful decisions.

What will you bring to the role?

  • Experience of resource planning for a customer services organisation.
  • Exposure to Workforce Management solutions (preferably Calabrio).
  • Previous experience of leading a team of Analysts.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to role model, care, connect and coach to drive performance, change, positive engagement and deliver against challenging objectives.
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and organisation skills.
  • Capability to build strong sustainable business relationships with great communication skills.
  • A proven track record delivering against demanding targets and timescales.

And in return, you'll get the best from us:

  • Annual bonus of up to 12%
  • Matched pension contributions up to 10%
  • 26 days holiday, plus bank holidays and holiday purchase scheme
  • Colleague Mortgage and Saver products
  • Electric vehicle / Cycle to Work scheme
  • 2 days' volunteering per year

We'll give you a place to belong with the support to learn, develop and shape a meaningful career.
