Planning Officer/Senior Planning Officer
We have an exciting opportunity available within our Development Plans Team.
The position is permanent, 37 hours a week based in the beautiful county of Pembrokeshire, adjacent to the world-famous Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. We have one post available at either Town Planner/Senior Planner level.
Planning Officer / Senior Planning Officer - (Grade - 7 £31,067 – £34,314) / (Grade 8 (£35,235 – £39,513)
For the Planner/ Senior Planner post a recognised degree or post graduate qualification in Planning (or equivalent) is a requirement. The Senior Planning Officer will have MRTPI status. The Planning Officer/Senior Planner roles offer a career pathway, and successful candidates will be appointed to either role depending on experience and RTPI membership. The postholder will provide professional input to the development and monitoring of a policy framework for Pembrokeshire – the Local Development Plan and Strategic Development Plans, including community and stakeholder involvement. You will be responsible for policy formulation in topic areas and geographical areas of the county. You will prepare development briefs and supplementary planning guidance for designated sites and policy areas. As the replacement plan moves towards the latter stages of the plan process you will prepare Examination Statements and represent the Local Authority for examination in public for the revised Plan.

Mae rolau’r Cynllunydd Tref / Uwch-gynllunydd yn cynnig llwybr gyrfa, a bydd yr ymgeiswyr llwyddiannus yn cael eu penodi i’r naill rôl neu’r llall yn ddibynnol ar brofiad ac aelodaeth o’r Sefydliad Brenhinol Cynllunio Trefol (RTPI). Bydd deiliad y swydd yn cyfrannu’n broffesiynol at ddatblygu a monitro fframwaith polisi ar gyfer Sir Benfro – y Cynllun Datblygu Lleol a’r Cynlluniau Datblygu Strategol, gan gynnwys y gymuned a rhanddeiliaid. Byddwch yn gyfrifol am lunio polisïau ym meysydd pwnc ac ardaloedd daearyddol y sir. Byddwch yn paratoi briffiau datblygu a chanllawiau cynllunio atodol ar gyfer safleoedd a meysydd polisi wedi’u dynodi. Wrth i’r cynllun newydd symud tuag at gamau olaf proses y cynllun, byddwch yn paratoi datganiadau archwilio, ac yn cynrychioli’r awdurdod lleol i’w harchwilio’n gyhoeddus ar gyfer y cynllun diwygiedig.
