Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking an experienced town planner for a 6-month fixed-term position in Stockport. Qualifications: Candidates ideally should be qualified town planners (RTPI membership or those eligible for/working towards joining the RTPI). They should have a good working knowledge of planning legislation, excellent communication skills, and experience managing workloads of mixed application types. Previous experience working in a local authority planning department would be beneficial. A minimum of 5 years' experience is expected, with greenbelt and conservation experience preferred. This is a 6-month fixed-term position.

Requirements: A full current UK driving licence is essential, as the post holder will be required to undertake site visits. The hours of work are 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with 2 days in the office.
