Planning Officer

Rate – Hourly rate £12.35 - £ 13.84

Location – Greenwich

Contract position end January

Hours 35 hrs a week

A Planning Officer to join a local Authority Contract based in Greenwich.

The Planning officer will provide professional planning advise to the Local Authority Contract in their role as consultees for our client whilst working closely with an external consultant, councillors, council officers. Position requires a motivated planner with experience of evaluating the full range of minor and other applications.

Skills required for Planning officer –

Must be educated to a degree level in a relevant or planning experience role.

Day to day duties for a Planning officer

  • Examining and evaluation all types of planning applications made under the Town and Country Planning acts and related legislation.
  • Assessing that proposals are in accordance with relevant policies, liaise with other officers of other directorates on matters arising from planning.
  • Assist with carrying out project briefs, feasibility studies in relation to regeneration or economic strategy work.
  • Deal with enquiries from the public, developers, potential developers, other authorities & relevant clients on planning
