Planning Officer needed in North London Paying £13.86 per hr Ref 013045

Full time hrs on a temporary basis

Key Responsibilities
  • We are looking for a motivated and detail-orientedPlanning Officerto join our dynamic planning team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a variety of planning applications and policy projects, contributing to the delivery of high-quality development outcomes.

    You will be responsible for conducting site visits, negotiating with stakeholders, preparing planning reports, and supporting the development of effective planning policies. The role also involves engaging with internal teams, external partners, and the public to ensure planning proposals align with relevant policies and standards.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Conduct accompanied and unaccompaniedsite visitsand attend meetings with clients, stakeholders, and community groups.
    • Negotiate withdevelopers and stakeholdersto achieve compliant and high-quality proposals within statutory timeframes.
    • Liaise with internal teams and external partners to support the delivery of a responsive and professional planning service.
    • Engage withresidents, interest groups, and elected representativesto provide clear and timely information on planning matters.
    • Respond to planning enquiries via phone, email, and in person, and support the delivery of a Duty Planner service.
    • Represent the planning team at internal and external meetings, including planning panels and advisory groups.
    • Contribute to service improvement initiatives and support team-based projects.
    • Assist in theregistration and validationof planning applications.
    • Prepare high-quality written reports with recommendations for decision-making.
    • Support the development and implementation of effectiveplanning policies.
