Planning Officer

Salary: Grade H (SCP 26 - 30) £37,280 - £40,777 per annum

Sefton Council’s Planning Service sits at the heart of economic recovery within the Borough in terms of facilitating major investment and development with some exciting and ambitious projects on the horizon. Job requirements:

You will be responsible for processing planning applications and appeals, providing guidance to applicants, agents, and the general public on matters related to the Planning Service.

You will need to have a flexible and positive approach to work, along with significant knowledge of planning legislation and guidance. We require a strong commitment to customer care and the ability to work effectively as part of a busy team.

You must have:

  • A qualification in Town Planning (or equivalent) or significant experience working in a Town Planning role
  • The ability to demonstrate excellent customer care
  • High quality communication and organisational skills
  • The ability to present work of a high standard to strict deadlines whilst under pressure
  • Excellent IT skills.
