Role Responsibilities

  • Provide advice to developers and seek to influence development proposals to minimise adverse impacts and ensure consistency with land use and transport policies
  • Analyse and assess planning applications for a range of minerals and waste developments, prepare Regulatory Committee and Delegated reports, and handle any appeals where appropriate
  • Negotiate Section 106 agreements and site-specific requirements
  • Ensure compliance with planning permissions, including monitoring ongoing developments
  • Negotiate and communicate with applicants and the public on various planning-related matters
