Job summary

A recruitment consultancy has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Town Planner to join a busy team in Altrincham. The successful candidate will be responsible for devising and implementing planning programs, overseeing planning strategies, and preparing applications for various sites. Ideal candidates will be Chartered Planners with over 3 years of proven experience and excellent knowledge of planning systems. This is a chance to showcase your skills in a high-achieving team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years proven experience in planning.
• Experience with Pre-Construction.
• Ability to produce material take-offs and scheduling.

Our client has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Town Planner to join their busy team. Providing support to the development team, you will be involved in an array of projects within multiple property sectors from tender stage, through to completion.

Working to deliver within set time-frames and adhering to budgets, you’ll be communicating successfully with senior management and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for devising and implementing the planning program for all active sites
• Oversee all aspects of the planning strategy including pre-application, consultation and stakeholder engagement
• Work with colleagues and partners to ensure viable developments are delivered
• Co-ordinate and manage multidisciplinary project teams
• Prepare all planning applications and planning appeals
• Prepare and undertake commercial and planning appraisals for prospective sites and make recommendations for investment
• Point of contact for local authorities and statutory consultees
• Provide planning advice and work with colleagues, partners and stakeholders to manage risk pre-start and during each phase of the project

You will ideally be a Chartered Planner with a minimum of 3 years proven experience and have excellent knowledge of planning systems and development. The ideal candidate will also have experience with Pre-Construction, the ability to interpret drawings & produce material take offs/scheduling and the ability to understand regulatory requirements.
