The Role

As a Senior Planning Lawyer, you'll join a team that supports clients across a wide variety of sectors, including residential, commercial, infrastructure, and environmental projects. You'll play a pivotal role in:

  • Advising on large-scale development projects and nationally significant infrastructure schemes.
  • Drafting and negotiating planning and highway agreements.
  • Managing compulsory purchase orders and providing strategic advice on planning applications.
  • Assisting with judicial reviews, inquiries, and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs).
  • Collaborating with colleagues across practice areas to support comprehensive real estate and infrastructure solutions.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Is an ambitious solicitor with 5+ PQE in Planning
  • Experience in relevant planning legislation (e.g. Town & Country Planning Act)
  • Previous work with compulsory acquisitions, compensation matters, EIA/HRA, and judicial review is ideal
  • Ability to manage complex and varied workloads efficiently to the highest standard
  • Excellent verbal/written communicator with first-rate interpersonal skills
  • Has a proactive, innovative, and value-adding mindset
