Full Job Description

Our client seeks an enthusiastic and proactive candidate to join an experienced Development Team managing multiple BESS and solar projects through the planning process.

They are a well-funded Developer with legacy projects and a strong pipeline of new initiatives.

You will collaborate with an experienced Development and Grid Team. The team values cultural fit and is open to candidates with 2+ years to 6/7+ years of senior planning experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide planning advice for site selection and planning application strategies.
• Manage and submit planning applications, coordinate with external consultants, and review deliverables.
• Oversee the planning process through to decision.
• Advise internal and external stakeholders on planning matters.
• Support other departments as needed.

Requirements

• Experience in planning within renewables or NSIP, preferably Utility Scale Solar and/or BESS.
• Knowledge of UK planning regulations and policies.
• Bachelor’s degree or relevant qualification in Planning, Urban Planning, Environmental studies, etc.
