Sir Robert McAlpine has secured a prestigious contract to construct a state-of-the-art Battery Manufacturing Facility. The initial phase of the project includes the design and construction of a new 15GWh lithium-ion battery facility, ancillary buildings, and site-wide external works.

The MEA Planner role

As an MEP Planner, you'll:

1. Understand the full scope of MEP work, interfaces with building works, and the phased commissioning strategy.
2. Understand client requirements for system integration.
3. Recognize constraints of the client's design team delivery programme.
4. Develop and validate individual trade contractor programmes (including design, procurement, off-site fabrication, installation, and commissioning).
5. Ensure all trade contractor programmes reflect agreed constraints, methods, sequences, and logistics.
6. Integrate all validated trade contractor programmes into the fully coordinated SRM programme.
7. Develop, agree upon, and manage key performance indicators to measure progress across all phases.
8. Measure and record progress, analyze data, and prepare progress reports, as-built programmes, and output records.

Your profile

• Good knowledge of building-based MEP systems.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Appreciation of the commissioning process in complex environments.
• Proficient in PowerProject.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Skilled in the use of 3D models.
• Strong core planning and programming skills.
• Background in mechanical or electrical trade contracting is preferred.
• Understanding of the commercial impacts of planning.
• Familiarity with 4D planning environments.
