Job summary

Adecco is seeking a Planning Manager for a fast-paced UK manufacturing site in Rotherham. You will own end-to-end production planning, including master scheduling, capacity planning, and S&OP, ensuring on-time deliveries and optimal inventory management.

You will collaborate across functions, drive continuous improvement, and lead digitalisation of planning processes. Requires strong leadership, at least 5 years in manufacturing planning, and experience with MRP/ERP systems, preferably SAP.

Qualifications

• Degree in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business, or Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing planning.
• Strong knowledge of S&OP, production and capacity planning, inventory management, and MRP/ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the master production schedule.
• Translate customer demand into actionable manufacturing plans.
• Monitor schedule adherence and implement performance improvement actions.
• Meet customer demand fluctuations to maintain delivery commitments.
• Facilitate demand and supply reviews with stakeholders.
• Present insights, risks, and opportunities to the leadership team.
• Utilise data analysis to drive informed planning decisions.
• Conduct short, medium, and long-term capacity assessments.
• Identify and mitigate production bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with operations to maximise throughput and operational effectiveness.
• Ensure material availability aligns with production schedules.
• Work closely with procurement to address supply risks and shortages.
• Drive the achievement of customer On-Time Delivery (OTD) targets.
• Coordinate recovery plans when delivery performance is at risk.
• Lead initiatives to enhance planning and supply chain processes.
• Support digitalisation and automation efforts.
