Job Purpose:
Reporting to the head of supply chain, you will have the experience, drive and ambition to develop professionally, alongside the continued growth of the business, working synergistically with the planning and supplier stakeholders, achieving business KPI’s and planning for operations.
The Role and Responsibilities:
- Leading a team of planners within the supply chain function
- Ensure a consistent level of optimum inventory to manage customer fluctuations while managing working capital.
- Evolve the Planning process and system in line with business requirements.
- Continually seek ways to improve the planning and purchasing processes by optimising operations, by continually revisiting the master data, to achieve agreed key performance indicator targets.
- Short term forecasting to meet production requirements
- Support the Supply chain Manager with regards to departmental objectives, Daily and weekly waste reporting. New product launch material schedules, Product delists and material risks. Minimum order quantity issues, ensuring robust processes are developed and adhered to.
- Working closely with Operations Management to Implement processes and controls that support one way of working across all area’s and developing Key KPI’s to measure material supply performance against the production plan.
- Work with management teams to support the development of new systems, processes and working practices relating to Material scheduling.
- To work closely with key stakeholders and assist with day-to-day actions of these areas to facilitate adherence to plan and minimise disruption.
- Build and strong and trusting partnership with all key internal and external stakeholders.
- Delivering against requests in a timely manner and ensuring these are communicated to all relevant parties in a professional manner
- Work closely with the site teams: Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, 3rd Party Agencies and HR.
Person Criteria - Key Skills, Experience and Knowledge:
- 5+ years’ experience in FMCG planning/forecasting management
- Proficiency in Excel
- Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes
- Leadership and business management skills
- Ability to work well with others
- Excellent attention to detail skills
