Job summary

Planning Manager

Location: Pocklington

Salary: £35,000 per annum

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8am-4:30pm, and Friday, 8am-1:30pm

Are you an experienced Production Planner looking to take the next step in your career? Or perhaps you're already working in a planning role and looking for an opportunity to take greater ownership of the planning function?

Castle Employment Group is recruiting for a Planning Manager to join an established manufacturing business based in Pocklington.

This is a hands-on position where you'll play a key role in coordinating production schedules, managing priorities and ensuring manufacturing operations run efficiently.

The Role

As Planning Manager, you'll be responsible for:

• Developing and maintaining production schedules to meet customer demand.
• Coordinating production requirements with stock and material availability.
• Working closely with production, purchasing and other departments to ensure effective planning.
• Monitoring production capacity and adjusting schedules where required.
• Identifying potential delays and resolving planning challenges.
• Supporting improvements to planning processes and operational efficiency.
• Maintaining accurate planning information and communicating updates across the business.

What We're Looking For

• SAP experience would be advantageous but is not essential, as the business plans to introduce the system next year.

You don't necessarily need to have held the title of Planning Manager before. We're equally interested in experienced Senior Production Planners who are ready to take that next step.
