Planning Manager | Permanent | Derby | Excellent Salary

Cherry Professional is seeking a dynamic Planning Manager for a forward-thinking and expanding FMCG company. You will contribute to the continued growth of the business by working synergistically with planning and supplier stakeholders, achieving business KPIs, and planning for operations.

Responsibilities:

1. Leading a team of planners within the supply chain function.
2. Ensuring a consistent level of optimum inventory to manage customer fluctuations while managing working capital.
3. Working closely with Operations Management to implement processes and controls that support a unified way of working across all areas and developing key KPIs to measure material supply performance against the production plan.
4. Collaborating with management teams to support the development of new systems, processes, and working practices related to material scheduling.
5. Working closely with key stakeholders and assisting with day-to-day actions to facilitate adherence to plans and minimize disruptions.
6. Building strong and trusting partnerships with all key internal and external stakeholders.
7. Evolving the planning process and system in line with business requirements.
8. Seeking ways to improve planning and purchasing processes by optimizing operations and continually revisiting master data to achieve KPI targets.
9. Short-term forecasting to meet production requirements.

Ideal Candidate:

• Extensive experience in FMCG planning and forecasting management.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Leadership and business management skills.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Excellent attention to detail.
