Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Planning Manager to join a growing, London-based property development company with a strong pipeline of projects across the capital and the wider South-East. As Planning Manager, you will play a central part in identifying, promoting, and securing planning consents across a diverse portfolio of immediate and strategic sites, working closely with the Planning Director.

This is an exciting opportunity to take on a key role in shaping the planning strategy of a dynamic company that is expanding the number of homes it delivers each year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring planning policy, appeals and case law
  • Advising internal teams on planning matters and potential acquisitions
  • Developing and delivering planning and site promotion strategies
  • Managing consultants and coordinating project teams
  • Leading the preparation, submission and negotiation of planning applications and agreements
  • Building strong relationships with planning authorities, stakeholders and partners

Key Requirements:

  • MRTPI or MRICS (Planning & Development) qualified, with c. 4–6 years’ post-qualification experience
  • Strong knowledge of planning policy and development processes
  • Comfortable managing projects independently, but equally collaborative when working with wider teams
  • Strategic thinker with excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Keen to gain exposure within a fast-paced, privately-owned development environment
