Job summary

Trostan Dene is seeking a Planning and Logistics Manager to lead end-to-end planning, inventory management and warehouse operations in a manufacturing environment.

You will collaborate with Commercial, Production Operations, Suppliers and Distribution teams to drive performance, optimise capacity and deliver excellent customer experience while operating within ISO guidelines.

The role requires a proven leader with strong analytical ability and IT skills to develop teams and improve processes.

Qualifications

• Extensive leadership experience across Production Planning, Inventory Management and Warehouse/Logistics in manufacturing.
• Proven ability to optimise processes and drive continuous improvement.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop operational schedules by optimising materials, resources and capacity to maximise production efficiency and customer experience.
• Monitor performance, drive adherence to the plan and adjust schedules as required.
• Oversee raw materials planning and control to support production activities.
• Maintain stock accuracy and effective ERP/WMS discipline, addressing obsolescence and slow-moving items.

Role Overview

Part of the leadership team, the Planning and Logistics Manager is accountable for leading end to end planning, inventory management & Warehouse operations. You will collaborate with Commercial, Production Operations, Suppliers & Distribution teams to drive optimal performance & achieve excellent levels of customer experience, contributing to the overall achievement of business KPIs. To operate within the guidelines of ISO standards.

Production Planning

• Accountable for developing the operational schedule; optimising available materials, resources & machine capacity, resulting in optimal production efficiency & delivering excellent levels of customer experience
• Working with Operational teams; monitor and review performance to drive adherence to the plan. Identifying opportunities and adapt the operational schedule where required

Materials & Inventory Management

• Oversee the planning & control of raw materials to support production schedules
• Ensure optimal inventory levels, balancing availability with KPI targets
• Accountable for driving stock accuracy, ERP / WMS disciplines & strong stock control (obsolescence and slow-moving items)
