Service Care Solutions is seeking an experienced and motivated Planning Lawyer Locum to join a well-regarded local authority legal team in North London. This role offers flexibility with attendance at the office one day per week, with the remaining work conducted remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on planning, highways, and local government matters (contentious and non-contentious).
• Draft and negotiate agreements such as Section 106, unilateral undertakings, and highways agreements.
• Attend Planning Committee meetings, offering legal guidance and representation.
• Review and draft reports on legal implications of decisions.
• Manage contentious planning matters, including appeals and judicial reviews.
• Participate in project meetings for major developments, liaising with stakeholders.
• Instruct and brief external legal counsel when necessary.
• Stay updated on legal developments and provide training or updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure effective use of case management systems and compliance with standards.

Person Specification

Qualifications
