Job description

Are you a strategic thinker with a knack for forecasting and planning? Join our dynamic team as the General Manager of Forecasting and Planning!

As the General Manager, you'll be at the helm of accurately forecasting and planning parcel volumes across our network. You'll analyse new information, such as sales and promotional activities, alongside historic trends to understand their impact on demand.

In this role you will track and identify on-going improvement opportunities. You will support and build new reports to improve the planning of the network and highlight failures.

Your clear communication with key stakeholders—Commercial, Finance, Hub, Depot, and Delivery teams—will be crucial. You'll also implement and define new tools, processes, and metrics to continuously improve volume forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Network Planning and International Planning teams in a 24/7 operation.
  • Manage daily, weekly, and strategic volume forecasts from both operational and cost planning perspectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement in forecasting accuracy and cost savings.
  • Design and implement operational recovery plans in collaboration with Operations teams.
  • Deliver annual Peak plans and special event forecasts.
  • Model and approve Network Infrastructure changes to ensure capacity.
  • Influence senior stakeholders with data analysis and corrective actions.
  • Establish clear demand planning KPIs to support financial budgeting and benchmarking.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and preferably Access/Database skills.
  • Experience in developing new processes and procedures across multiple sites/functions.
  • Ability to design analytical tools and reports for senior operations.
  • Strong technical, strategic, and operational skills.
