Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Limited is seeking a Planning Engineer for a Kingston upon Thames-based, hybrid role on a 12-month contract. The position requires strong expertise in Primavera P6 and offshore project planning, with a background in Offshore Oil & Gas, ideally Offshore Wind.

You will develop and maintain schedules, support tendering phases, and provide time impact analyses for contract amendments while collaborating with project controls and wider teams.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years' experience in planning/project controls.
• Background in Offshore Oil & Gas, ideally Offshore Wind.
• Experience planning tendering phases, TI and/or EPCI projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules in line with contractual and internal requirements.
• Support planning activities across tendering and project phases.
• Identify, analyse and report schedule deviations and potential delays.
• Develop and maintain 90-day look-ahead, weekly and monthly schedules.
• Support project controls and preparation of project status reports.
• Provide time impact analysis for contract amendments and claims.
• Support project risk management and schedule risk analysis.

Planning Engineer

Kingston upon Thames - Hybrid Working

£60-£65 an hour + Outside IR35 + Hybrid Working + Flexible Hours + 12-Month Contract

Are you an experienced Planning Engineer with a background in offshore projects and strong knowledge of Primavera P6?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a global engineering and construction business working within its Offshore Wind division, supporting complex energy projects and helping deliver the transition towards Net Zero.

You’ll play a key role in developing and maintaining project schedules, particularly through tendering and project planning phases, whilst working closely with project controls and wider project teams.

The role offers a 12-month contract, Outside IR35 and hybrid working, with the opportunity to work on major international offshore energy projects.

The Role

• Develop and maintain project schedules in line with contractual and internal requirements
• Support planning activities across tendering and project phases
• Identify, analyse and report schedule deviations and potential delays
• Develop and maintain 90-day look-ahead, weekly and monthly schedules
• Support project controls and preparation of project status reports
• Provide time impact analysis for contract amendments and claims
• Support project risk management and schedule risk analysis

The Person

• Experience planning tendering phases, T&I and/or EPCI projects
• Strong knowledge of Primavera P6
• Experience with Microsoft Project
• HNC, HND or Bachelor's degree
