Job Title: Planning Engineer (f/m) - Hinkley Point UK Nuclear Project

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Planning Engineer to support the Hinkley Point C nuclear project, focusing on the development and management of detailed construction schedules within the MEH phase.
Accountabilities:
- Develop, integrate, design, test, and commission detailed construction schedules for the MEH phase.
- Coordinate all aspects of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC planning for the project, including schedule reviews and resource-loaded schedules.
- Integrate construction activities with HPC programs to optimize planning, address interfaces, and support the overall project schedule and 16-week look-ahead process.
- Manage and update schedule data within planning tools.
- Support performance optimization using 4D scheduling capabilities, ensuring schedule performance meets project needs.
- Ensure schedules are produced, managed, and maintained according to procedures and contract requirements.
- Report site progress and communicate schedule data to relevant teams.
- Promote safe and effective planning, considering safety as a core element.
- Develop detailed plans that coordinate work activities and optimize construction sequences, focusing on contractor interfaces within a 16-week horizon.
- Communicate resource requirements, durations, and quantities to construction leads.
- Support periodic look-ahead processes with integrated schedule data.
- Identify planning scope, constraints, and contract requirements, including quantities and factors affecting the program.
- Establish and agree on construction outputs and working hours with stakeholders.
- Develop resource, material, and quantity profiles to support delivery readiness.
- Create schedule metrics and reports to monitor adherence and performance.
- Collaborate with the 4D team to develop animated schedule sequences and enhance project capabilities.
- Work with construction teams and the PDO to develop visual management tools for field deployment.
- Contribute to lessons learned to improve future project execution.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience in delivering complex projects in regulated environments.
- Strong English communication skills; knowledge of French is advantageous.
- Industrial experience in MEH delivery.
- Experience with 4D and 5D planning.
- Nuclear construction background.
- Desirable: Construction trade or OND/HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field; professional membership in RICS, CIOB, RIBA, ICE, or CIBSE; or equivalent project experience.
