Astute’s Power Team is partnered with a market-leading Energy company, to recruit for a Planning Engineer to join their Energy from Waste Power Station in Glasgow, Scotland.
The vital Planning Engineer role comes with a basic salary of �45,408 + up to 10% bonus + private medical + other benefits.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Engineering and Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for:
* Maintenance Planning which will involve scheduling the sites planned and planned maintenance and project activities
* Lead weekly and daily planning process and meetings, issuing agreed maintenance plans for upcoming weeks
* Continuous development of the site’s Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
* Outage planning by bringing together the Engineer’s scopes and reports into one outage scope or report
* Attend CDM and outage meetings
* Act as supervisor for the stores function of the facility ensuring that there are enough spares on site

Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
* Ideally an NVQ Level 3 minimum qualification in an engineering discipline
* A formal health and safety qualification will be desirable
Personal skills, prior experience and knowledge
The Planning Engineer role would suit someone who has:
* Prior experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) including continuous development
* Prior experience working in a heavy process engineering environment (Power, Paper Mills, Steel, Cement, Petrochemical, etc)
* Experience with safe systems of work procedures (ssow)
* Royal/Merchant Navy Marine Engineers would be encouraged to apply as well
