Qualifications

Job Description

JMC Aviation are working with an MRO company based in Prestwick, looking to recruit a new Planning Engineer to join their team.

This client is an international line and base maintenance provider, operating a comprehensive level of support for commercial aircraft operators. As an independent MRO, they are able to adapt their approach to respond to rapidly changing requirements and provide services which include component repairs, overhauls, piece part manufacture, aircraft fuel tank repairs, aircraft maintenance, aircraft interiors and AOG support.

This is a Permanent Position based in Prestwick.

Monday – Thursday (8am – 5pm) and Friday (8am – 2:30pm).

The Role

The primary purpose of this role is to shall generate and control aircraft maintenance work packages, ensuring regulatory compliance at all times.

Other Duties Involve

  • Generating and issuing comprehensive maintenance packages of work for production staff in accordance with the relevant regulatory airworthiness requirements and departmental procedures
  • Providing costings assistance to sales for hours review.
  • Creating and maintaining master work cards/databases where required for specific projects, identify sub-contract requirements, spares and tooling.
  • Liaising with internal departments as deemed necessary to provide clear and concise work instructions
  • Assisting the Engineering Support Manager with the daily operation of the planning department
  • Having commercial awareness of the impact that decisions can have to the customer and to the business as a whole
  • Liaising with Safety and Compliance to ensure compliance with procedures and audits.

In order to be successful in this role the Planning Engineer will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

  • Extensive experience in aircraft maintenance and production planning
  • Experience in MRO IT software such as AMOS, OASES and Rusada ( but not essential)
  • Technical experience in aviation and able to demonstrate knowledge of airworthiness regulation
  • Have a working knowledge of Aircraft Maintenance Planning ( but not essential)
