Job summary

A global EPC company in South West London is seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to ensure the development of project schedules for tenders in the offshore wind sector. The ideal candidate will have a relevant qualification, experience in the offshore Oil&Gas industry, and proficiency in Primavera P6. This role involves coordinating with project teams and analyzing deviations from the planned schedules.

Qualifications

  • Experience in planning activities within the offshore Oil&Gas industry, preferably in offshore wind.
  • Ability to implement planning and progress control systems.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the project schedule according to contractual requirements.
  • Spot and analyze deviations from the plan.
  • Assist in the preparation of project status reports.

The Energy Division at ARM are currently recruiting an experienced Planning Engineer to join a global EPC company based out of South West London.

Job Overview:

As Planning Engineer you will respond to the Planning Manager and be part of the Offshore Wind business Line. You will ensure the development of the Project Schedule, especially for tenders.

Duties

  • Ensure the development of the Project Schedule according to contractual requirements and internal standards, verifying its feasibility and highlighting any criticalities
  • Implement the Planning and Progress Control System
  • Ensure any deviation from the plan is promptly spotted and analysed
  • Create a schedule awareness atmosphere amongst all project participants
  • Create and maintain the 90 days look-ahead schedule, weekly schedule, and monthly schedule
  • Assist the Project Control Manager in the preparation of the Project Status Report
  • Support the Project during contract amendments/claims and provide the time impact analysis
  • Participate in risk management activities including schedule risk analysis

Requirements:

Experience: Experience in planning activities within the offshore Oil&Gas industry, preferably in offshore wind business

Education: HNC, HND or bachelor's degree

Technical skills: planning for tendering projects phases, T&I, possibly EPCI projects

IT skills: Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
