These roles offer a diverse and challenging range of responsibilities focused on investigating unauthorised development and managing associated planning applications. You will assess breaches of planning control, utilising a variety of enforcement tools to achieve timely and proportionate resolutions. Your expertise will also support colleagues, clients, and stakeholders through providing planning guidance, contributing to appeals, and presenting evidence in court as necessary.
You will have the opportunity to lead or contribute to service improvement projects, driving innovation and enhancing efficiency within the team. Your work will be integral to meeting performance targets and safeguarding the city from harmful or inappropriate development.
