Planning Consultant

€35k-50k DOE

The Role

This company is an independent consultancy known for delivering strategic planning advice with a commercial focus. They are seeking a talented Planning Consultant to join its growing team and contribute its high success rate in securing planning consent.

Working closely with the Director and Senior Planner, you will manage projects from inception through to determination, gaining exposure to a diverse range of large and small scale developments across all of Ireland.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Project Management: Preparation, submission, and management of Planning Applications across all property sectors.
  • Strategic Advice: Providing expert advice on site feasibility, due diligence, and appropriate land uses.
  • Appeals & Enforcement: Handling planning appeals and providing advice on Enforcement matters, including preparing expert witness input.
  • Specialist Services: Contributing to complex projects involving Master planning, Retail Impact assessments, and advice on Development plans and zoning.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaising with key stakeholders and engaging in community consultation and political engagement as required.
  • Collaboration: Working effectively with our in-house design team and external Architects and Engineers to ensure the best professional inputs.

The Person

  • Proven experience as a Planning Consultant (or similar) with a strong understanding of the planning system in Ireland.
  • A track record of providing strategic planning solutions with a clear commercial focus.
  • Experience across multiple sectors, ideally including residential, retail, commercial, or industrial schemes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting justification for development.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects.
