Job Description:

PPM Recruitment is recruiting for a Planning Assistant in the Grimsby area.

Duties include:

  • Undertake validation of planning applications, including checking plans, forms, and fees.
  • Assist in processing minor and other planning applications from submission to recommendation, including conducting site visits, liaising with customers, and preparing accurate reports.
  • Respond to pre-application enquiries promptly.
  • Support the team in achieving contract performance targets.
  • Provide excellent customer service to a diverse range of customers of the planning service.
  • Undertake other duties reasonably expected at this level to support the delivery of the planning function.

Experience required:

  • Previous experience working in an office environment with front-line customer service experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of office systems, routines, and processes.
  • Understanding of health and safety compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in IT including databases and Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Knowledge of working in a planning environment is desirable.
