Planning and Stock Control Manager

An award-winning food manufacturing company that has expanded its production sites, advanced its manufacturing techniques, and developed a vast range of branded products recognized by retailers across the UK and internationally.

About the Planning and Stock Control Manager role

The purpose of this role is to support the company's vision by effectively coordinating current planning and stock control functions, ensuring an efficient product lifecycle from planning and production to meeting customer needs.

Key responsibilities
  1. Oversee packaging, raw materials, production schedules, and delivery to third-party storage to ensure smooth factory output in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
  2. Monitor KPIs, analyze trends, and provide reports on risks, stock levels, and underperformance to support business decision-making.
  3. Build strong relationships across Commercial, Operations, Procurement, and Sales teams to align supply planning, production, and customer needs.
  4. Implement protocols, drive efficiency, and develop solutions to enhance production throughput and operational effectiveness.
About you

The successful candidate should have experience working in an FMCG environment, ideally in a planning capacity. You should be unafraid to take full responsibility, adaptable to change, and able to work under pressure.

Proficiency in IT, especially MS Excel (including formulae), is desirable. You should be highly organized with excellent time management skills.

Additional details

The role (ref: 8933) offers a salary of up to £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.

The site is located in Fife, Scotland, and is accessible from Edinburgh, Dunfermline, Cowdenbeath, Glenrothes, Kirkcaldy, and Cupar.

The package includes a pension scheme with 5% employee and 4% employer contributions, and 30 days of holiday including bank holidays.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, during office hours.
