Innovation is a key part of our next-level FMCG Retailer strategy. As part of the planning and delivery team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of our innovation products and projects.
The P&D team collaborates with the technical and innovation teams to ensure our plans are accurate. They manage end-to-end processes to land projects on time, enabling our third-party suppliers (e.g., artwork, design agencies) to plan resources effectively to deliver on schedule and within budget.
To support our ambitious plans, we need proactive, organized individuals with an eye for detail and excellent communication skills.
This hybrid position requires working 2 days a week in our Farringdon office.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Custodian of the product plan, ensuring processes are followed to maintain accuracy. This includes running lock meetings, developing product plan strategies, issuing reports and minutes, and escalating issues promptly for resolution.
- Monitor ongoing projects and milestones, such as gate meetings, and update the critical path as needed based on delays and batching rules.
- Assist the planning and delivery manager with batching and plan management to balance workload throughout the year, including planning for peaks and risks.
- Provide the internal product development and technical teams, as well as agency partners, with regular and accurate visibility of upcoming work.
- Become an expert in our processes, document them clearly, and assist in developing and delivering training sessions for colleagues. You should understand the process thoroughly and be able to support and guide teams.
- Proactively monitor processes, identify pain points, gather feedback, and propose improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Support key meetings such as Artwork Governance Forum and Design Forum by managing attendees, sharing minutes, and tracking actions.
- Attend WIP meetings to monitor project progress, identify issues, escalate barriers, and facilitate resolution.
- Manage central projects for large or cross-category initiatives, working closely with relevant teams and agencies to define schedules, processes, risk management, and critical plans.
- Support product developers by designing and managing projects through platforms like Nectar 360 attest.
- Coordinate data from the product plan, insights platforms, partner agencies, finance, and customer insights teams to provide periodic reports, share project updates, highlight new lines, and communicate product performance.
- Provide day-to-day support to agency partners across design, product specs, and packaging artwork, responding swiftly to queries to keep projects on track.
- Assist the planning and delivery manager with budget management through robust planning and processes.
WHAT I NEED TO KNOW
- A good understanding of artwork and processes is essential.
- Experience in end-to-end project delivery of complex product development/innovation plans.
- Strong IT skills, especially in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Good project management and planning abilities.
- Ability to deliver artwork, project, and product performance reports against SLAs for senior management.
