Overview

This job is a Planning and Analytics Manager role based at the Eastbourne site, part of Edwards (Atlas Copco Group). Edwards is a global leader in vacuum and abatement with more than 55,000 employees worldwide. The role sits within the Eastbourne Product Company and focuses on planning, analytics, and SAP/Kinaxis data management to support production, inventory, and customer communications.

Mission / Purpose of the Job

Ensure the Planning team acts as a conduit for customer communications and updates, including sales and operations planning meetings. Promote clear communication within the Eastbourne site and with external customers. Ensure planning tools are aligned with the latest technology and industry standards.

Lead the planning team to plan factory output of orders and maintain planning tools that are fit for purpose. Act as a SAP planning specialist and site super user, overseeing site improvement projects as required.

Main responsibilities
  • Prepare the S&OP response with quantitative options to respond to fluctuating demand
  • Champion and develop internal KPI monitoring systems
  • Interface with customer centres on commitment and forecast delivery data for production and spares
  • Provide weekly status reports and KPIs showing adherence to plan, efficiency and operational metrics via best practice tools
  • Own the development of planning tools and reports
  • Line manage a team of planners, including goal setting, 1:1s, end-of-year processes, holidays, sickness, performance management and development needs for reports
  • Collaborate with Factory Planners, Logistics, Finance Controller and Materials Manager to manage inventory policies and processes
  • Support OTD improvement through regular performance analysis and failure analysis
  • Provide management information on material availability and develop improvement plans and measures
  • Planning data cleansing (review planning parameters, MADs, constraints)
  • Ensure master planning tool is fit for purpose and translates S&OP data into actionable inputs
  • Champion and SME in the use of PBI reporting, Kinaxis and SAP
  • Leverage SAP ERP data and report from this repository via Power BI; gather feedback to develop reports
  • Own SAP and Kinaxis data integrity and cleansing post-NPI
  • Other analytical tasks as prescribed by management
