Are you ready to help shape the future of planning and performance in a diverse and ambitious university? We are looking for a proactive and analytical Planning Analyst to join our newly formed Planning and Analytics team within the Strategic Planning and Performance Directorate. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of strategic decision-making, supporting institutional effectiveness through high-quality analysis, insight, and performance reporting. While this role will focus on the Insights, Performance Monitoring and KPIs portfolio, we welcome applicants from a wide range of planning backgrounds.
Responsibilities
- Act as a business partner to academic faculties and professional services, supporting evidence-based planning and strategic delivery.
- Lead on performance monitoring and KPI reporting, helping senior leaders understand progress and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Analyse internal and external data to provide insight into institutional performance, sector benchmarking, and future trends.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the University to develop dashboards, reports, and predictive models that inform decision-making.
- Contribute to strategic forecasting, scenario planning, and risk analysis to support long-term sustainability.
- Champion innovation and continuous improvement, helping to embed a culture of data-driven planning and strategic alignment.
Qualifications
- Experience in planning, analytics, or business intelligence within higher education or a similarly complex environment.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and communicate complex data clearly and effectively.
- A collaborative mindset, with the confidence to engage stakeholders and influence decision-making.
- Advanced skills in Excel and data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- A passion for turning data into insight and insight into action.
