Our Client

On behalf of our client, a well-established and fast-paced manufacturing business, we are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Planning Administrator to support their planning and logistics operations.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and supportive team, where youll play a key role in ensuring production schedules run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills and previous experience in a similar planning or administrative role within a manufacturing or logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and maintenance of production and transport schedules aligned to customer demand and operational capacity.
  • Maintain and update Excel-based planning tools, reports, and dashboards.
  • Track work orders, monitor lead times, and ensure delivery schedules are met.
  • Liaise with production, logistics, and account management teams to ensure alignment and resolve potential scheduling issues.
  • Ensure accuracy of data across ERP/MRP systems and support planning process improvements.
  • Provide general administrative support to the planning function, including document control and data entry.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a planning, scheduling, or administrative role, ideally within manufacturing or logistics.
  • Advanced Excel skills are essential, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, and conditional formatting.
  • Experience with Excel VBA is desirable.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP or Sage is advantageous.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines.
  • Confident communicator with strong organisational skills.
