Overview

On the back of our continued success in Cumbria, we are growing our team again, delivering more crucial, major projects at Sellafield. We are actively looking for Planning Engineers at all levels to provide support for our teams at Westlakes and on site at Sellafield. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across multiple, complex projects and develop your career within a rapidly growing business and team.

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning activities using Primavera P6 for large-scale construction projects.
• Develop, manage, and maintain project schedules, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project objectives.
• Collaborate with project controls and planning teams to ensure resources are allocated effectively and schedules are achievable.
• Provide ongoing support to Program and Project Managers, offering insights on schedule performance, risks, and mitigation strategies.
• Monitor and report on critical path activities, key milestones, and any variances from the project plan.
• Ensure data is accurately inputted into project systems, providing detailed and actionable reports to stakeholders.
• Evaluate new project proposals to establish realistic and achievable timelines for successful delivery.
• Experience of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
• Good Primavera (P6), MS Project and MS Excel skills.
• Knowledge of integrated project controls, and the ability to assess project performance and maturity.
• Experience planning projects of varying levels of complexity and in different stages of the Project Lifecycle.
• Ability to constructively challenge the project performance and data with the IPT to ensure the project plans and schedules reflect reality and mitigate risk to the business.
• Minimum 1 year of construction planning experience.
