Planner / Works Programmer

As a Planner/Works Programmer at Coatbridge you will be working alongside the North Lanarkshire Council, delivering excellent service and support to our teams, who understand the importance of working together for the local community. You will ensure that all works orders are scheduled through the In‑house appointments system, repairs works are allocated to trade operatives, and all works are carried out with minimal average turnaround time. Support the scheduling of operative and sub‑contract resource to ensure effective resource management, delivery of a customer focussed repairs service and that performance targets are met / achieved.

Carpentry Repair Technician

Carry out day‑to‑day carpentry repairs in occupied properties as part of a responsive maintenance service. Replace and repair internal doors, frames, handles, locks, and hinges. Fit and adjust kitchen units, worktops, cupboard doors, and pelmets. Install or replace skirting boards, architraves, and other decorative joinery. Repair or replace timber flooring, stair components, and handrails where required. Make good following repairs, including basic patch plastering or tiling as needed. Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety regulations.

Electrical Technician

Safely isolate, remove, install and maintain rotating equipment and other three‑phase equipment. Commission and test installed equipment, completing test sheets using Napit software. Coordinate electrical and mixed trades on site, ensuring safe working and effective job delivery. Diagnose faults and provide job reports and condition findings, identifying the correct method of repair. Identify opportunities for follow‑on work based on current scopes and site condition. Coordinate site activities through close cooperation with the office team and Electrical Supervisor.

Horticultural Technician

Carry out grass and hedge cutting, border maintenance, leaf clearing, spraying, and litter picking. Operate hand tools and powered horticultural machinery safely and effectively. Deliver winter services including gritting, snow clearance, and Christmas tree installation. Report site hazards and relevant information to management. Follow health and safety procedures and undertake additional training as required.

Plant Maintenance Technician

Inspect plant equipment in workshop and on site. Service, repair and maintenance of key plant equipment in workshop and on site. Minor structural repairs including use of abrasive wheels and welding equipment. Carrying out spray painting. Visiting customer sites to support with deliveries and also providing support on the yard when needed. Ensuring all equipment is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, functionality and compliance.

Generators & Equipment Technician

What will you be doing? Generator repair and maintenance. Equipment Installation and commissioning. Testing, certification and compliance of equipment. Act as an ambassador for Sunbelt rentals building positive customer relationships. Ensuring all equipment is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, functionality and compliance.

Road Works & Maintenance Technician

Carry out general carriageway maintenance and repair works. Install and manage traffic management systems, including signs, cones and barriers. Lay, patch and remove road materials. Undertake drainage, vegetation control and road furniture works. Operate small plant, tools and company vehicles. Respond to emergencies and participate in winter maintenance operations. Work safely at all times to protect colleagues, road users and the public.

Fabrication & Welding Technician

Fabrication & Welding of new steelwork projects to an execution class 3 / Sector Scheme standards. This will include shop fabrication and site installation. Bridge structure repairs – mechanical and welded. Undertaking all aspects of bridge maintenance works including routine and cyclic activities. Dring /Plant: Carry out vehicle checks, movement of materials, vehicle cleaning, minor maintenance when required. Record Keeping. Being part of the Emergency Standby Team – this includes 1‑week standby cover. Emergency Rescue Team Participation.
