Planner | Senior Town Planner

Location: Manchester

My client, a growing multidisciplinary consultancy, is looking for a talented Planner / Senior Planner to join their new Manchester office. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills across diverse and high-profile projects in both the public and private sectors.

About the Role:

You will work across a variety of sectors, including residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects, providing expert advice and guidance to clients such as private landowners, developers, local authorities, and property professionals. Key responsibilities include:

* Managing all stages of planning work, from initial appraisals to application submissions, appeals, and policy advice.
* Preparing and submitting fee proposals, handling planning enquiries, and leading planning inquiries.
* Developing and managing your own client base, with budgetary accountability for projects.
* Collaborating with internal multidisciplinary teams and external consultants to deliver high-quality planning solutions.

What We're Looking For:

* MRTPI membership or working towards chartership.
* Proven experience in preparing and submitting planning applications.
* Up-to-date knowledge of UK planning legislation, methods, and procedures.
* Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects independently.
* Excellent communication skills, with a client-focused approach and a "can-do" attitude.
* Commercial acumen to identify opportunities and expand the business.
