Role Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a RTPI and/or RICS qualified Planner/Senior Planner to join the Cardiff Planning Team. The ideal candidate will have notable planning experience and a detailed knowledge of the UK town planning and governmental systems.

This role involves managing your workload, assisting senior team fee earners, undertaking planning research and enquiries, drafting reports and planning submissions (site assessments, policy notes, applications, appeals, development plan representations, etc.), and assisting with team caseload and business development activities.

Team Overview

The Savills Planning Team in Cardiff consists of 17 planners and is highly respected in South Wales. It is an integral part of the UK's largest planning consultancy, with over 192 planning specialists covering every land use sector and geographic area in the UK.

The team handles a diverse range of projects for clients across the UK, including developers, investors, major corporates, land-owning charities, and education organizations. Current projects include work with Wrexham AFC, development of Indurent Park in Newport, planning conditions for Twyn Hywel Energy Park, development land at Bridgend College, major schemes in Cardiff Bay, underwater research campus in the Forest of Dean, Carbon Capture and Storage in North Wales, and redevelopment of the Ford factory in Bridgend.

The team collaborates seamlessly with colleagues in Development, Commercial Investment, Office Agency, New Homes, Building Services Energy & Sustainability, and Property Management.
