SSEN Transmission is recruiting for a Planning Manager based in Scotland with a requirement to split time between office locations including Glasgow, Perth, Inverness or Aberdeen. The role leads planning teams and oversees schedules across Onshore, Offshore and Development projects to support a cleaner energy future.
The ideal candidate will have extensive infrastructure planning experience, proficiency with Primavera P6, and knowledge of NEC3/FIDIC contracts.
Base Location:For this role, we require successful applicants to be based from one of our Scottish locations and you'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in the office – Glasgow, Perth, Inverness or Aberdeen
Salary: £59,800 - £89,800 + car/car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

As our investment in the electricity transmission network continues to grow, we’re looking for experienced Planning Managers to lead the planning and scheduling activity that underpins some of the UK’s most important energy infrastructure projects. These opportunities span our Onshore, Offshore and Development teams, supporting complex programmes that are helping to deliver a cleaner, more secure energy future.
In this role, you’ll provide strategic leadership, technical expertise and clear programme insight across a portfolio of projects. You’ll lead and develop planning teams, work closely with project, commercial, engineering, site delivery and contractor teams, and ensure schedules are realistic, joined up and able to support informed decisions across the full project lifecycle.
