Job summary

A growing residential developer in the East Midlands is seeking a proficient Planner to oversee the full planning lifecycle, from site appraisals to appeals. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Town Planning, have 2-4 years of relevant experience, and demonstrate strong UK planning knowledge and report writing skills. This role offers a chance to coordinate consultant teams and engage in community consultation, all within a supportive and equal opportunity environment.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years’ experience in a developer, consultancy or local authority environment.
  • RTPI Chartered or working towards.

Responsibilities

  • Support planning applications, reserved matters & discharge of conditions.
  • Coordinate consultant teams and assist with appeals.
  • Deliver site appraisals, policy research & constraint analysis.
  • Monitor application progress and liaise with local authorities.
  • Support community consultation and attend site & project meetings.
  • Assist with appeal statements and public inquiry documentation.

A fantastic opportunity for aPlanner to join a growing residential developer delivering new homes across the East Midlands. You’ll be involved across the full planning lifecycle, from site appraisal through to delivery and appeals.

Key Responsibilities

What You’ll Bring

  • RTPI Chartered or working towards

  • Strong UK planning knowledge and report writing skills
  • Proactive, organised and confident communicator
  • Full UK driving licence & access to a vehicle
