Job Description

The Planner (Maternity Cover) will own and manage Acro’s view of supply and demand across all teams to create and maintain capacity plans for both production and cross-functionally for other departments within the business to include existing and planned projects.

Key Responsibilities

Own the overall Master Production Schedule

Create and control scheduling for other supporting functions

Manage departmental capacity profiles

Lead the ERP scheduling function to manage optimal stock holdings

Ensure adherence to schedules and escalate any concerns

Perform resource aggregations, scenario planning and modelling from the current and forward schedules to drive efficient resource management, levelling, management information and skills heat-maps.

Ensure processes and procedures are documented within the Business Management System (BMS) and kept up to date on a continual basis.

Skills and experience required.

Extensive scheduling experience within a Production and Engineering environment

Experience with resource, schedule and planning tools

Able to simplify and distil data into useful management information

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to propose innovative ideas

A strong understanding of ERP, preferably Epicor Kinetic

Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and manage conflicting demands

Analytically minded with the ability to collate and clearly present data.

Detail-orientated with a focus on accuracy and precision

This role profile is not exhaustive; it will be subject to periodic review and may be amended to meet the changing needs of the business. The post holder will be expected to participate in this process, and we would aim to reach agreement to the changes.
