Planner
Location – Cardiff

Penguin Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy firm in their search for a talented Consultant Town Planner to join their successful and progressive team in the South West region. As a Consultant Town Planner, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of major infrastructure and development projects for a diverse range of clients.

Responsibilities
  • Act as Planning Support on projects across various markets and sectors
  • Support bidding and tendering for new opportunities
  • Work closely with Planning Team Leaders and senior colleagues
  • Collaborate in a dynamic multi-disciplinary environment with colleagues in environmental, engineering, and design disciplines
  • Support the development of graduates across the Planning and Environmental Practice
Qualifications
  • Relevant Planning degree and RTPI membership (desirable)
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, determined, and resilient
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple assignments, and meet tight deadlines
  • Understanding of TCPA, DCO, TWAO, or equivalent applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to develop client relationships
Day-to-day
  • Prepare accurate and well-presented reports to a high standard
  • Deliver presentations to internal and external clients
  • Flexibly apply knowledge and experience to a wide variety of planning-related tasks
