Job summary

Ross-Shire Engineering Limited is seeking an experienced Planner to join our growing planning team. The role requires Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project proficiency to develop and manage programmes across delivery teams in a multi-project environment.

You will monitor progress, update schedules and report status, identify critical activities, and liaise with Project Managers, Engineers, and clients to keep projects on track. A Full UK Driving License is required.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Initiative and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to develop and implement scheduling improvements.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Develop logic-driven programmes and resource-loaded schedules for projects.
• Create detailed design and construction programmes including contractor schedules.
• Monitor, update and report on programme status.
• Identify critical activities and recommend remedial actions to keep projects on track.
• Provide multi-project programmes to identify resource constraints and dependencies.
• Liaise with clients, Project Managers and Engineers to align planning.
• Develop strong cross-functional relationships across teams.

What Are We Looking For?

Due to continued growth, RSE is expanding and is looking for an experienced Planner with a working knowledge of Primavera P6 to join us on a permanent basis. You will be required to work within our planning department and assist our delivery teams in planning projects in conjunction with the operations, commercial and design teams.

Please note this position will be located between our offices in Cumbernauld and Stepps.

Some of Your Key Duties Include:

• Develop logic-driven, cost and/or resource loaded programmes for projects.
• Create detailed design and construction programmes, incorporating contractor and sub-contractor programmes where applicable.
• Monitor, update, and report on status of programmes.
• Assist in keeping projects on track by identifying critical activities and evaluating remedial actions.
• Provide multi-project programmes to identify resource constraints.
• Develop effective working relationships across the various teams and departments.
• Liaise with the clients, Project Managers and Engineers.

What Do You Need?

• Proficient in Programming software packages – Microsoft Project and Primavera P6.
• Ability to develop effective working relationships inside and outside the Company.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
• Initiative and ability to work alone and as part of a team.
• Ability to develop and recommend alternative approached to improve programme scheduling.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
