Job summary

The Planner role at S&B Utilities is based at Sizewell C Nuclear Power Station. You will develop and maintain schedules for the Foul Treatment Plant and Potable Water Plant using Primavera P6, and provide accurate programme information to project teams.

Working within the Project Controls team, you will monitor progress, forecast outcomes and produce dashboards and reports to ensure milestones are achieved. Desirable experience in nuclear or major infrastructure projects is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years planning experience in construction, engineering, infrastructure or industrial projects.
• Proven experience using Primavera P6 and producing project schedules and programme reports.
• HNC/HND or Degree in Engineering, Construction, Project Management or a related discipline.
• Experience in progress monitoring, forecasting and critical path analysis.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and reporting capability.
• Excellent organisational and stakeholder engagement skills.

The Planner is responsible for the development, maintenance, monitoring and reporting of project schedules associated with the design, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning of the Foul Treatment Plant (FTP) and Potable Water Plant (PWP) at Sizewell C Nuclear Power Station.

The Planner is responsible for the development, maintenance, monitoring and reporting of project schedules associated with the design, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning of the Foul Treatment Plant (FTP) and Potable Water Plant (PWP) at Sizewell C Nuclear Power Station.

Working as part of the Project Controls team, the Planner will support project delivery teams by providing accurate programme information, schedule analysis, progress measurement and forecasting. The role is critical in ensuring that project activities are properly planned, interfaces are effectively managed and project milestones are achieved.

The role briefly encompasses the following duties but is not limited to:

• Developing and maintaining project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Monitoring progress, milestones and critical path activities across all project phases.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/experience/attributes:

• Experience: Minimum 5 years' planning experience within construction, engineering, infrastructure or industrial projects.
• Technical Skills: Proven experience using Primavera P6 and producing project schedules and programme reports.
• Qualifications: HNC/HND or Degree in Engineering, Construction, Project Management or a related discipline.
• Analysis: Experience in progress monitoring, forecasting and critical path analysis.
• IT Skills: Strong Microsoft Excel and reporting capability.
• Communication: Excellent organisational and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Desirable: Experience within nuclear, water treatment, process plant or major infrastructure projects.
