Job summary

S&B Utilities is seeking a Planning Manager at Sizewell C to establish, maintain and control the integrated project schedule for the Foul Treatment Plant and Potable Water Plant. You will provide planning leadership across design, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning and handover, ensuring schedules are robust and aligned with the Sizewell C programme.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' planning experience on major construction, infrastructure or industrial projects.
• Advanced Primavera P6 knowledge for complex integrated programmes.
• Degree, HNC or HND in Engineering, Construction, PM or related discipline.
• Experience in schedule risk analysis, forecasting, earned value and reporting.
• Ability to lead planning activities and influence project teams.
• Professional membership in APM, CIOB, ICE, PMI or working towards.
• Experience in highly regulated environments.
• Desirable: nuclear, water treatment, process plant or major infra programmes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage integrated project schedules across design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
• Maintain Level 1–3 programmes and ensure alignment with project governance.
• Monitor progress, milestones and programme performance against baselines.
• Coordinate planning inputs from engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning teams.
• Identify schedule risks, opportunities and critical path constraints.
• Produce programme reports, forecasts and performance analyses for project stakeholders.
• Support decision-making through schedule forecasting, trend analysis and project controls.
• Ensure project schedules are integrated with the wider Sizewell C programme.

The Planning Manager is responsible for establishing, maintaining and controlling the integrated project schedule for the delivery of the Foul Treatment Plant (FTP) and Potable Water Plant (PWP) at Sizewell C Nuclear Power Station.

The role provides planning leadership throughout the project lifecycle, covering design development, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning and handover phases. The Planning Manager will ensure that project schedules are robust, realistic, fully integrated and aligned with the wider Sizewell C programme.

The role briefly encompasses the following duties but is not limited to: -

• · Developing and managing integrated project schedules across design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover phases.
• · Maintaining Level 1, 2 and 3 programmes and ensuring alignment with project governance requirements.
• · Monitoring progress, critical milestones and programme performance against agreed baselines.
• · Coordinating planning inputs from engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning teams.
• · Identifying schedule risks, opportunities and critical path constraints.
• · Producing programme reports, forecasts and performance analysis for project stakeholders.
• · Supporting decision-making through schedule forecasting, trend analysis and project controls.
• · Ensuring project schedules are integrated with the wider Sizewell C programme.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/experience/ attributes:

• · Experience: Minimum 10 years' planning experience on major construction, infrastructure or industrial projects.
• · Technical Expertise: Advanced Primavera P6 knowledge and proven experience developing complex integrated programmes.
• · Qualifications: Degree, HNC or HND in Engineering, Construction, Project Management or a related discipline.
• · Project Controls: Experience in schedule risk analysis, forecasting, earned value and performance reporting.
• · Leadership: Ability to lead planning activities, facilitate workshops and influence project teams and stakeholders.
• · Professional Membership: APM, CIOB, ICE, PMI or equivalent professional membership, or working towards.
• · Regulated Industries: Experience working within highly regulated environments.
• · Desirable: Experience within nuclear, water treatment, process plant or major infrastructure programmes.
