Job Title: Planner - Tower Hamlets

As a Planner within our Tower Hamlets branch, working for the Voids department, you will support residents with reactive repairs and maintenance across our property portfolio. You will be part of a local repairs team ensuring works orders are scheduled efficiently, repairs are allocated to trade operatives, and all works are completed with minimal turnaround time.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support scheduling of operative and sub-contractor resources to ensure effective resource management, customer-focused repairs service, and achievement of performance targets.
  2. Operate IT systems effectively, ensuring operatives update their PDAs and rate codes are inputted correctly.
  3. Monitor and update repair jobs regularly, including booking within target times, handling cancellations, overdue jobs, and follow-up tasks.
  4. Maintain a professional customer experience through clear communication, appearance, and adherence to Health & Safety standards.
  5. Act as a liaison between residents and maintenance workers, ensuring accurate and timely information exchange.
  6. Collaborate with team members, including administrators, operatives, supervisors, and subcontractors, to deliver efficient services and high satisfaction levels.
  7. Follow policies, procedures, and work instructions; maintain company assets; report damages; provide cover for other planners; and attend meetings and training as required.
Role Criteria:
  • Experience in planning within a Social Housing environment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management, planning, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with computerised systems
  • Excellent customer service skills
