A day in the life of a Murphy Planner
  1. Prepare a resourced programme, including reviewing the outcome for conformance with expectations and requirements.
  2. Contribute to the risk register and undertake programme risk analysis.
  3. Prepare visual material to aid planned methods.
  4. Manage project documentation in an orderly fashion.
  5. Provide a link between all parties regarding planning community information.
  6. Define methods and establish outputs in consultation with the estimator and team, including the supply chain where appropriate.
  7. Liaise with the design engineer to establish a design brief for temporary works.
  8. Provide the estimator with a justified schedule of temporary works and other indirect costs.
  9. Advise the project team of required feedback reports and support, in consultation with the estimator.

  • Experience within Civil Engineering / Construction, preferably within Water.
  • Proficiency with planning software (P6, TILOS, QSRA).
  • Active experience with various planning techniques for tendering and contract delivery.
  • Computer literacy with good knowledge of Microsoft packages, including Microsoft Project and P6.
